Young Indians Parliament, North East Region

Our students won 3 of the 8 individual prizes at the two-day regional event. See the post

Earlier, at the Young Indians Parliament on 4 and 5 June 2026, 8 of our 21 participants won Special Awards, more than half of the 15 awards given. The Young Indians Parliament is run by Young Indians (Yi), part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

13th Inter-School Chess Championship

On 4 and 5 June 2026, at R. Dengthuama Indoor Stadium, Carmelians won the Overall Champion Trophy for the first time, with two more trophies and seven individual prizes. See the post

MZI 2nd Inter High School and Higher Secondary School Beat Contest

Two of our bands were among the 16 finalists, and both performed their own songs. Caramel Band won 1st Runner-Up and Serene Band won 2nd Runner-Up. See the post

Our students won 2nd place. See the post

MISA Inter-School Choir Competition 2026

Our choir won a consolation prize.

Miss Chapchar Kût 2026

Celestina Lalchhandami, Class XI 'B' (Arts), was crowned Miss Chapchar Kût 2026. She has studied at the school since Class IX and plays in the Carmel girls' basketball team, which has won the championship twice. See the post

National Reading Decathlon 2025

Second Prize at the national round

For the first time, Mount Carmel School reached the national stage. After winning the Regional Round (North East Zone) as one of the top five scoring schools in India, Krista Roluahpuia (Class IX) and Rebek Vanlalmalsawmi (Class VIII), accompanied by Miss Sophia, won the Second Prize (First Runner-Up) in the Reading Decathlon Quiz Competition 2025. The national round was held on 17 January 2026.

Won the Thazual Best New Artiste (Gospel) award.

Hmangaihsangzuali Bawitlung

Gold medal in the 12–13 years Youth Category Female Kata at the Karate Association of India National Karate Championship 2025, Kurukshetra, Haryana.

Vanmalsawmi, Class XI 'I'

Represented Mizoram at the Cadet and Junior National Championship in Dehradun, Uttarakhand (29 May to 1 June 2025). She won two silver medals: Junior Category Poomsae individual, and as part of the girls' team.

K. Vanlallawmkima, Class IX

First place and gold medal in the 3000 m race at the Aizawl District Secondary School Sports.

Runners-up in the MZP Inter High School Quiz Competition 2025.

Lalremruata, Class VIII 'B'

First Prize in the Under-14 category at the Mizoram Drums Fest.

Linzy Malsawmkimi, Class XI 'G'

Second Place in the Poetry Writing Competition organised by SCERT.

17th State Level Mathematics Competition

Vanmalsawma (Class X) won third place, and Boi Ko Thang (Class XII) received a consolation prize. The competition was organised by MMS in collaboration with MISTIC.

Basketball: First North-East Inter-School Champion

Our team won the 1st North East Basketball Tournament, organised by The Assam Valley School, Balipara, Assam. See the post

Futsal: Champions 2025

Winners of the Ardeco Construction Inter School Futsal Tournament 2025.

Dance: Inter-School Dance Competition 2025

Our dance crew won the competition organised by Runmawi TV and Fitin Dance, against five schools. The crew brought home the winner's trophy, certificates and a cash prize of ₹50,000.
